"NXTreme Explorations" Robotics Camp
"NXTreme Explorations" Robotics Camp is a summer opportunity to explore robotics through the use of LEGO Mindstorms NXT robots. Camp is open to Pleasant Valley students entering the 4th, 5th, 6th 7th, 8th, or 9th grades.

Pleasant Valley students entering 9th-12th grades can volunteer to be a Peer Coach for any session of camp for fun or service-learning hours.

The 4-day sessions begin in June. Specific dates for "NXTreme Explorations" Robotics Camp are located under the "Robotics Schedule" tab at the top of the page.

Registration for "NXTreme Explorations" Robotics Camp opens on March 1st.


Green City Challenge: For beginning programmers.  Campers will program their robots to collect energy bricks to power Green City in the Green City Challenge.

Space Challenge: For beginning programmers with some robotics experience.  Campers will program their robots to solve challenges related to space exploration in the Space Challenge.

LEGO Sumo: For students who have completed BOTH the Basic Robotics AND Advanced Robotics after-school courses.  Using sensors to control the movement of their robot, campers will challenge each other in the sport of LEGO Sumo.

TETRIX Tenpin: For students entering 8th and 9th grades.  Campers will build and program a robotic bowler using the TETRIX MAX building system and ROBOT-C programming software.
